Cancer Concern Connected to Pet Microchips
To micro-chip or not to micro-chip - it's a concern for many pet owners trying to weigh the safety of their dogs and cats. Micro-chips implanted in pets can help identify them when they get lost and turn up as a stray. But a series of studies over the last ten years suggests a possible connection between the chips and cases of cancer.
The chance is not worth the risk of your pet gettting cancer. If you would like to safely protect your pet from getting lost, then

Greater Likelihood of Reuniting Lost Pets with their Owners
According to
PetData.com
, approximately 6,000,000 to 8,000,000 dogs and cats are placed in animal shelters annually and 50% to 75% of them are euthanized, generally in three to seven days.
In many communities, the percentage may be as high as 90% of all animals. However, if an animal is licensed and wearing a tag (like the Lost Pet Collar), the animal has nearly a 100% likelihood of being reunited with its owner. Furthermore, some animals only wear a rabies tag which would just have the veterinary clinic information. While the veterinarian is contacted in order to locate the owner of the pet, unfortunately, not all clinics are able to look up rabies tag numbers, especially if they are not computerized.
This is why
your pet needs the Lost Pet Collar
. If your pet is ever lost, the person who finds your pet will be able to enter the tags ID # into this website and reunite the pet with its owner.
